# If You Own a Business in Lethbridge, You Need Better Security

- Saskatoon Saskatchewan 
- Kelowna, BC
- Abbotsford-Mission, BC

- Winnipeg, Manitoba

Lethbridge is also 27.3 points higher than Alberta’s provincial average. When it comes to crime rates, Lethbridge has 9,836 crimes per 100,000 people. Globally, Lethbridge has the[56th highest crime index](https://www.numbeo.com/crime/rankings.jsp). 

While the non-violent crime rates are down from 2020, violent crimes in Lethbridge are up 2.7%. These violent crimes include homicide, assault, violent firearm offences, robbery and extortion. Non-violent crimes include property damage, speeding tickets and prostitution.

- Motor vehicle theft – 414 incidents, up from 2020 
- Theft over $5,000 – 91 incidents, up from 2020 
- Theft under $5,000 – 3,681 incidents, down from 2020 
- Trespass at night – 64, down from 2020
