Darwin Construction states Sonitrol's Sonavision Security system saves them thousands of operating dollars each month

"Our construction site is located in the downtown east side area of Vancouver. As everyone in the construction industry knows this is an area of extremely high risk for theft and vandalism. Realizing this we took steps to protect our site that included hiring a guard service, securing our trailers and containers with heavy duty locks and window bars as well as fencing in the entire site.

 

It took less than a month for our sense of security to end as a thief broke into our tool crib and made oil with some of our equipment. We went looking for solutions and decided to use Sonitrol based our the results our company had experienced with them on other projects. l3eiore Sonitrol could install (heir electronic security system on the project the thieves came back and again made off with some of our tools. It was clear that some of the locals had decided we were going to be their meal ticket for the next year!

 

Since Sonitrol installed their security system on site we have been targeted 4 times. Twice the thieves managed to leave empty handed barely escaping capture by the VPD. On another occasion the thief attempted to pull down a camera, what he didn't realize is that Sonitrol installs their cameras so that each camera is being watched by another and he was apprehended by the Vancouver police. Then last night a thief showed up bag in hand looking to rob us of some of our equipment and supplies. It took him just a couple of minutes to enter, load up his bag and leave the site, he knew what he was after, however that was not quick enough as the VPD was waiting for him making the arrest and recovering our material.

 

I have been in the construction industry for over 20 years and when compared to static guards, I have found your Sonavision system to be the most effective way of protecting our sites and the thousands of operating dollars we are saving each month well that’s a great bonus.
