RCMP in Richmond recommends Sonitrol to Opus Construction for on-site security

"Our construction sites and trailers have always been the target of thieves. It is never the value of what the thieves steal that hurts us, it is more the delay in completing the project that is caused by what the thieves steal.
Back in 2004 we had a rash of break-ins at one of our Richmond construction sites. In discussing our problems with Richmond RCMP investigators, they suggested that we call Sonitrol. The investigators told us that Sonitrol provides verified systems that have very few false alarms and because of that, police respond promptly to your calls.
We did exactly what the RCMP suggested and had you install your active audio in this challenged construction trailer. Surprisingly - your "Security by Sonitrol" signs must have been enough to keep the thieves away as we did not experience another break-in at this site.
This past Monday morning at 4am we had a break-in to one of our Sonitrol protected construction trailers in Campbell Heights. Campbell Heights is a business park that is challenged with many break-ins, and has a reputation for slow police response. Well let me tell you, the Surrey RCMP response was immediate, and multiple thieves were apprehended in the act. When our site superintendent spoke to the responding officers he voiced his surprise at their response to this break-in. The officer's response was "are you kidding, Sonitrol alarms are real and our dispatchers get multiple units responding to Sonitrol calls because they give us a great opportunity to catch these thieves!".
Please pass our thanks along to Richmond RCMP for introducing us to Sonitrol and to the Surrey RCMP for catching these thieves."
