"I am writing this letter to thank you and your staff for assisting the Maple Ridge RCMP in apprehending a suspect just as he was leaving our facility.

 

On Friday, January 2 at approximately 10:00 P.M., the Maple Ridge RCMP was dispatched by your monitoring station and was able to apprehend the suspect before he got away from our site. This is the first real test the Sonitrol system has been put to since we installed it just over a year ago. Our previous alarm system had failed us in situations like this before as the response time for the RCMP was not fast enough. Prior to having a verified alarm system in our building, we were employing on-site guards to cover our security during times of plant vacancy. This was at a cost of over $100,000.00 per year. The cost effectiveness of the Sonitrol system was apparent immediately, but the true value of the system has now been proven.
