Copper thief apprehended with Sonitrol security alarm, reports The Keg restaurant

"Our Corporate Office directed us to Sonitrol after we had an arsonist attack our restaurant. Our facility was not protected by Sonitrol and suffered significant damage that required your specialized service to protect it, as it had no electricity or phone lines. Stuart was able to devise a battery driven system that worked off cellular to protect our facility while we worked to rebuild the roof and walls.

 

As our facility was a burnt out vacant building, it was attractive to the metal thieves that are looking to steal copper plumbing and wire. During our reconstructive period, your monitoring staff along with RCMP apprehended numerous vandals and thieves who thought our vacant building would be an easy target; they were wrong.

 

As we got closer to completing our reconstruction, we realized that these copper thieves would probably be attracted to our new rooftop heating/cooling units so we asked Stuart to design something unique to protect them. Unfortunately, we were correct in our assumption as last night the RCMP, with the assistance of the fire department to get on the roof, apprehended a copper thief as he attempted to open the units to steal copper.
