City of Surrey Thanks Sonitrol For Helping to Protect Recreation Centre Pools

Please pass a huge thank you to the Surrey RCMP and your monitoring staff for their great work in protecting City of Surrey property at Kwantlen Pool early this morning.

Back in 2007, based on recommendations by the RCMP, we installed Sonitrol's Verified Audio into all of our outdoor pools. Prior to using Sonitrol, we had three significant incidents and losses due to metal thieves extracting piping and electrical components from our buildings. The next summer, with the addition of Sonitrol technology and prompt RCMP response, we were able to prevent all three attempted break-ins at the facilites. We have had no issue of note since that time until this morning, when once again, your Sonitrol technology proved to be invaluable. The decision to use Sonitrol technology has safeguarded the pools from costly damage and possible service interruptions.
