"Centennial Optical went live on the new Sonitrol system as of Nov 12, 2008. During this very short time, we have experienced nothing but exceptional levels of service.

 

While all the organizational segments we have been in contact with were efficient, I must single out the monitoring station, its staff and technology for especial praise. In every situation where I had reason to have contact with the station, I was met with nothing but efficient, courteous and effective service.

 

One incident in particular deserves special mention:

 

On December 26, 2008 at approximately 4 pm I was contacted by the monitoring station and advised that they could hear something like “Rain falling” in the warehouse. Given that it was raining heavily and the snow was melting rapidly, I was inclined to believe that the operator was hearing the water running in the drainpipes leading from the roof.

 

The operator insisted however that there had been a change in the level of noise within the past few minutes. Due to the operator’s insistence and logical evaluation, I decided to come down to the building.

 

When I entered the warehouse about 30 minutes after receiving the call, I immediately heard the noise referred to by the operator. One of the drainpipes leading from the roof had burs and water was pouring into the warehouse. Approximately 1/3 of our 25,000 SQFT warehouse had water on the floor.

 

There was no measurable damage because of the prompt notification. There is also no doubt that had the operator not identified the fact that there was a problem, the water would have continued pouring in for the following days which would have resulting in the entire building being flooded with significant damage and disruption to our business.

 

There is no doubt in my mind that had we not moved to Sonitrol from the previous Security Company, we would not have detected the problem.

 

What I find remarkable is that while the Sonitrol System is designed primarily to detect intrusions to the building, it is also very capable of detecting other problems such as the above situation.

 

The training and performance of your staff, combined with the technology you use, creates a security system and service superior to any other system I have used over the years. Please convey my thanks and appreciation to all concerned."
