Sonitrol Criminal Captures - Top 10 Lessons Learned

Sonitrol Criminal Captures I’ve been in this security business for a long time. So I’ve seen some very interesting and entertaining break-in attempts caught on Sonitrol cameras. But the question I often find myself asking when I watch criminal capture videos is “Why did you ever think you’d get away with this"? Even when the Police arrive on-scene, I wonder why some of these criminals act like fools, they don’t just give in ... they run and they hide, but they’re always caught.

One thing I do know – criminals behave in similar ways, their patterns are often repeated, so I can group some of the most stupid criminal acts into a top 10 list. Here are some of the “lessons learned” from the many criminal apprehensions Sonitrol has been part of when using our verified security systems:

Don’t hide in a porta-potty. You will still be caught … and who really wants to go inside a port-potty anyway.
Don’t crawl slowly on the ground… your attempt to bypass our alarm is nothing short of hilarious.
Stop repelling from the ceiling … this isn’t your own personal spy movie. Our audio sensors cover floor to ceiling, so expect to meet the Police when you hit the ground.
We can still see you in the dark … you can creep around all you want, but our infrared “see in the dark” cameras show us exactly what you’re doing.
When you hear the K9 Unit, you should give up right away. The Police would’ve caught you anyway, but now that their highly trained dogs are on the scene, your chances of getting away are gone and a Dog capture hurts.
Don’t bother attempting to steal large items … even if you have your own white van to pack full of the goods. Rest assured, those trips to and from the van will take time – how many trips can you make in 3.5 minutes, which is the time it takes for the Police to arrive?
Don’t test your luck – find somewhere else to target. You hit the same place over and over again … and don’t notice when they switch to Sonitrol Security System. Your luck has run out.

8. Break-ins are loud…but even louder when you start forcing your way into a warehouse.
Under receiving doors .... which are incredibly strong. Which leads me to the next lesson …

9. Stop driving through receiving doors … or fences … and even sometimes walls. It’s loud and it’s dangerous. And you’ll still get caught.

10. The biggest lesson learned – stop breaking into Sonitrol protected sites. Our security solutions are verified.
